The Brookwood Middle School student council is organizing a food drive to collect non-perishable food items at both schools. The food will then be donated to Loaves and Fishes (our local food pantry) on December 1.
Donation boxes will be found in the breezeway of both the elementary and middle school.

The GCJ2 Family Engagement Team is excited to share with our Brookwood Families and community members a digital read aloud series where our team and staff members will be reading books aloud to you and your families while sharing effective reading strategies and activities for you to engage in at home with not only our books we are sharing with you but also your own personal books, books from our local library, our school libraries, and/or even books bought from the store. Thank you to our Brookwood community for submitting messages paying tribute to the special Veterans in their lives. Students in first grade have been working hard on their addition strategies! Students practiced their doubles facts by making a flip book and playing a doubles dice game. Doubles aren't trouble for these sharp first graders! #BeBrookwood #BrookwoodsBest
Last year, our BMS Physical Education department was fortunate to win a $1,000 grant, and the money was spent on Table Tennis equipment. This was the first time our 7th
and 8th graders had the opportunity to play Table Tennis at Brookwood, and we had a blast! It is such a fun sport, that can be played throughout a lifetime. #BeBrookwood #BrookwoodsBest
During our BES P.E. classes, our K-3rd graders have been working on rolling, throwing, and catching skills both virtually and in person. They have been experimenting with different implements and targets. So far, the pool noodle has been the implement of choice. #BeBrookwood #BrookwoodsBest

On Election Day, Brookwood's seventh graders made their voice heard. In math class, students voted for the US President, a local State Representative, and a local school referendum. Amazing discussions took place, and the students truly enjoyed the experience.
