Grade 4 will hold an Early Wisconsin Gathering because they're
study Wisconsin history during this year. They will play games and
experience 1800’s activities, listen to Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little
House in the Big Woods, and sample food harvested in WI. To find out more information, please contact your child's teacher!

Recently, 2nd and 3rd graders hiked down to the park for science. Both grades are studying water and collected data such as water temperature and depth in various parts of the creek to compare with the same location in spring, as well as the forest and prairie that they will be exploring at a later date! By the way, the water temperature was 38 degrees!
Mrs. Cassaday's class is our November BES Be Brookwood Class of the Month! These 1st graders earned this nomination for being kind, safe, and responsible during an all-school assembly. Each student is a rockstar and deserves to be recognized for their awesome work! So proud!
At the elementary school, teachers can nominate classes for "Being Brookwood". At the end of each month, one class is chosen and awarded for their spectacular work at school.
Exciting news! The girls basketball team made the playoffs!!! We will play on Monday, December 4th. Our game is AT Yorkville at 5pm. Come cheer on your Mustangs! 🏀🏀🏀

7th & 8th grade students in 3D printing class researched then designed flying discs for a flight distance challenge. Individual student grades were based on the flight distance of their disc. Each student needed to not only design their own disc in a computer CAD program, but also select the angle to launch their disc. Wind was a factor this year on the first day, but on the second day winds were minimal. Pictured are some students holding their discs prior to a launch, and another class finding their discs after a launch. No new distance records were set this year, but we did have a few discs fly over 200 feet!
Today, 5th graders learned about their learning styles! Students took a learning style survey to find out how they learn best. Then they talked about careers that would fit those styles. Students then were able to research more about these careers while learning about other ones as well.
