The BFO Bingo Night that was scheduled for tonight has been postponed, with a date to be determined at a later time. On Saturday, March 7th, Mrs. Bobula participated in the American Lung Association's Fight for Air Climb at the US Bank Center in Milwaukee. Over 2,600 people raised money to help fight lung disease by climbing 47 floors and 1034 steps! Brian Gotter from TMJ4 interviewed her before she finished her run in 14 minutes and 30 seconds! ***7th & 8th Grade MID-WINTER BAND CONCERT TIME CHANGE*** Start time 7:30 at BMS Congratulations to our Boy’s Volleyball team for making it into the playoffs that will be tonight at Trevor-Wilmot at 4:00. Due to the volleyball game, the 7th & 8th Grade Mid-Winter Band Concert time has changed to start at 7:30 tonight!

The bingo night committee is putting all the final touches together for what is shaping up to be a fun night with so many raffles and prizes! Raffle tickets are as follows and are purchased at the event: $1 for 1 $10 for 15 $20 for 30 Please be aware that last minute pizza orders CAN NOT be accepted after Wednesday morning at 9am. We highly suggest you turn in those RSVP forms even if you are not ordering pizza as we have only a certain number of Bingo cards and they will become first come first serve at the event if you have not prepaid. Congratulations to Ms. Skalecki!! Ms. Skalecki recently completed her Master's Program from Capella University in Minnesota. She has earned a Master's in Psychology: Applied Behavior Analysis. Capella University is an online school which allowed her to still teach full time will working on her Master's. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a focus on learning and behavior. ABA helps us understand how behavior works, how behavior is affected by the environment, and how learning takes place. This weekend, Ms. Skalecki was able to walk with her graduating class and make us #MustangProud of her accomplishments. The Brookwood staff is determined to give your child(ren) the best education possible. More than 50% of our full-time staff have advanced their education by obtaining a Master's Degree and it doesn't stop there...we have even more educators advancing their professional roots in other educational fields as well. #BrookwoodsBest Way to go, Ms. Skalecki!!!

Brookwood Families, The Brookwood Family Organization (BFO) will be holding their next general meeting on Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30 pm at the Elementary School. Students in Mrs. Kanthack’s 4-5 Science studied fossil formation and identification in their unit on Soils, Rocks and Landforms. They learned how to use the Claim, Evidence and Reasoning model for developing critical thinking and writing skills. They were totally amazed at these great samples and how they formed! #BrookwoodsBest

Mrs. Goggin’s 2nd grade class looks forward to reading to their 4K reading buddies in Mrs. Conrardy’s class. The students gather every month to read together. Second graders choose books at their level to read to 4K students. The 4K students love being read to and it gives the second graders a chance to really let their reading skills shine. They have been great leaders for their 4K reading buddies, and it’s fun to see relationships building among the grade levels. #BrookwoodsBest
